Hey all, some noob questions.
Im kinda new here, I have all 3 campaigns I got prophecies way way back got all the way to the last missions like hells precipice with my w/mo yes I was one lol, but anyways I ended up quitting the game. I am now returning and have bought the next two campaigns. My question is this, prophecies to me seems to be more boring than the other campaigns (most likely because ive been through most of it before) and im wondering, what would I miss out on to move onto like lets say nightfall without having completed the other two? Would the story not make sense? Would I have less skills? Also as a returning player what would be a good class to start with? Any tips on what all has changed? Sorry for the long post just got alot of questions hehe, thanks in advance.

A good class to start with is any that interest you. Although I must warn you, if you do play factions, assassins are not a very wanted profession. My suggestion to you would be go to wiki http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Pageand read about thing there. It has just about all the info you would want about GW. |

All 3 chapters are stories of their own, so no, you won't miss out on anything...
The only way you do miss out is if you go from chapter to chapter. If you take you NF char to Factions you will pick up the Factions story later on than what a Factions toon would... Hope that helps... |

We skipped the end of the first two to work on Nightfall when it came out...and going back to the others was kind of sad. Prophecies makes you work alot harder. You go so far and hardly level, and you have tons more missions before you're considered ascended. In Factions, you level at an insane rate (not easy for beast masters, because huge XP rewards come from quests, so pets don't level with you as much), but you get ascended faster, max armor faster, profession changer before you even have to decide your faction.
Personally, I like Nightfall the best. It had some tough missions in it, but a very interesting setup. It forces you to reach certain levels to progress the story, but offers the earliest ascension and profession change...and the easiest access to max armor. AND the ending makes you feel like you've truly accomplished something. SO I would say go ahead and finish prophecies first. The end is a bit plain if you see it after Nightfall. Oh yeah, and make sure you time that final mission just before the sun comes up in the real world and have "Halcyon+on+on" queued to play once you reach the Throne of Secrets. That'll make it epic. |
